In our country, technicians and designers of light learn from their career and experience rather than being formally trained at an institution of quality and expertise. The requirement of qualified professionals in the field is increasing day by day and yet we do not have an institution for training professionals in the field.
Cameo has been contributing in the field of Creative Light Design for more than two decades across the country and abroad for theatre productions, cultural shows, ambience and architecture lighting etc. The exposure from this experience made Cameo realize the urgent necessity for an institution dedicated to Creative Light Design. The focus will be to impart the practical and theoretical knowledge that we have acquired in these years and we consider this forward step as a historic mission.
For this, we have joined hands with State Resource Centre, Kerala to conduct a 6 months certificate course in lighting design where the certificate will be issued by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).

The course will also provide the opportunity to work with theatre productions, dance performances, music concerts, stage shows, photography and cinematography sessions and other stage performances and ceremonies. Overall the three months course will cover History of Lights, Function and Objectives of Light, Nature of Lights and its Scientific Elements, Electrical Basics, Equipments and Accessories, Design Principles, Art Appreciation andColour Sensibility, Light designing for various genres of art, Stage Geography, Light Designing Process, Apprenticeship, DMX Protocol, Lighting Consoles and Software Training, Practical and Field Training.
