The foundation for any creative industry training is basic arts and aesthetic appreciation. Since Lighting Design is an integral part of theatre, dance, music, film, photography, fine arts, festivals and ceremonies, a basic art appreciation is required for the aspirating lighting designers. The training programme will take them through the basic of electricity and will equip them with sensibility on colour and shade natural lighting, etc. The subject classes will be conducted by experienced Lighting Designers, Theatre scholars, Electrical and other Engineers, Interior Designers, Lighting Console Experts & Programmers, etc. The master classes will be handled by experienced Cameramen, Lighting Designers, Performers in various genres of art forms & Show Directors.

Scope on completion of the training programme
- Provide the project tools and techniques appropriate to the designing of lights in an aesthetic manner.
- Develop the ability to study in depth and to reflect about the representational techniques that are most appropriate for the expression of light in a particular project.
- Increase knowledge about the technical aspects (technological resources, novelties in the market, etc.) which are necessary for the resolution of lighting projects in interior and exterior spaces.
- Learn the technical language, the possibilities and the technology associated with stage lighting.
